ITV Ratings Champ Trigger Point, Season 2, Rolled Out by All3Media International to Majo

LILLE  — All3Media International has closed multiple major territories on ITV’s ratings champ “Trigger Point,” adding to stellar viewer numbers after Season 2 of the edge-of-the-seat thriller bowed last month averaging 6.9 million viewers across ITVX and ITV1. 

That ranks as the third biggest audience for an ITV show since Jan. 2022. 

Created by Daniel Brierly and produced by HTM Television, co-owned by Jed Mercurio, behind “Line of Duty” and “Bodyguard,” “Trigger Point” turns on members of a bomb disposal squad led by explosives officer Lana Washington (Vicky McClure).

Edge-of-seat nail-biting entertainment, critics concur, Season 2 buyers take in CBC in Canada, which recently debuted the new series on its streaming platform, CBC Gem, as well as Australian streamer Stan, Middle East DBS provider OSN in the Middle East and New Zealand’s TVNZ.

In Europe, Movistar Plus+, the biggest Spanish pay TV/SVOD operator, French pay TV giant Canal+ both bowed the series earlier in March. It is set to return to Dutch public broadcaster NPO. BritBox join as the series U.S. partner, which has additionally recently launched the new series in South Africa. 

The second series premiered earlier this month on Spanish subscription platform Movistar Plus+, on Canal+ in France and French-speaking territories. Partners for season one also include Virgin Media in Ireland, RUV in Iceland, Disney+ in Portugal, Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation in Cyprus and Pro TV,  which has licensed “Trigger Point for a number of their channels in both Romania and Moldova, including PRO TV (Romania) and PRO TV Chișinău (Moldova), All3 Media International announced at Series Mania. 

The first season has also been licensed toSVOD platform CMore covering Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden, HBO Latin America, BBC First, BBC’s premium SVOD service Pumpkin Films in China and WOWOW in Japan, it added.
